Pastors

It seems that quite a few of you are pastors' children or are related to a pastor or studying to become one. My father and his brother are pastors, how about y'all?

my father was a pastor he went to theology school and everything he still preaches but now he owns a business

We're in between churches.

I am not currently employed by a church, however I am actually and truely an ordained minister.

My brother is as well though he works a regular job and just teaches Sunday school classes and fills in at his church.

Meh it's hardly that exciting. My long days in seminary aren't all that interesting.

What made you decide to become ordained as a minister, Top? And do you plan to eventually seek employment as one?

I really don't think being a minister is my calling... so yay for wasting time getting a degree I'll never use! $\:D/$ I thought it was in high school and while "never say never" is a good rule of thumb in life, especially in God's calling, it really isn't something I see myself getting involved in again.

i actually am not related to a pastor. I love my pastor like my dad but i am not related to one. My friend wants to possiblely become one one day.

Heh, I suppose I should post the seminary I attended. I probably wouldn't have gone there but I got a free scholarship, soooo... $\:D/$

Anyway, HERE it is. I enjoyed my time there, I suppose, and its nice being ordained and all... though I feel like I really didn't learn a whole lot there that I didn't already know.
