You sound like my acquaintances at the church picnic we attended today. I didn't know whether to laugh or wince, as I told Tim after my dad's friend told him that I was a special person or something.
We just basically laughed silently in the bonfire light.
My recollection was that he said you were a "fine young woman" or something. I turned to her and asked incredulously, "Really?!"
I probably shouldn't post this, given the preceding comments...
