My trip to Colorado Springs was amazing. The live show itself, BTV: Live, was a treat. I immensely enjoyed the company of fellow Odyssey fans my age. I also got to do some sightseeing: Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, Air Force Academy, Compassion International, and Manitou Cliff Dwellings.

The title, "Wish you were here," was first envisioned by Frank, I believe, as the title of a thread to start while we were in CO, letting people know what we were up to. No one got around to doing it, though, so in compensation all sorts of details can be found in my article.

As one of the few who haven't weighed in on the show yet...

My experience in Colorado Springs was overwhelming and beautiful in so many ways, and to reduce it to a few sentences is difficult. I told most of my story to a friend a couple weeks ago, and I talked for over an hour before I even brought out the pictures! I've poured out some of my thoughts and feelings in various Word documents. When those are more complete, I will most likely post something written on here and/or facebook (as well as pictures). To (temporarily) make a long story short, however, the show, as well the time before and after that I was privileged to spend with the actors and ToOers, meant more to me than I can articulate, and I can honestly say that those were some of the greatest and best moments of my life.

I have done similar things. I have told so many people about my trip. I tend to tell one person certain things over and over. Well I feel like Im just babbling to her. So I ended up deciding to write my own account. That was a lot of fun. I wrote from beginning to end with details of our trip. It took me 6 hours and ended up being 16 pages long.

I was wondering because I don't know - I know of three that were represented, but I don't know what the other two are. I usually don't wonder about facts I already know.

My guess is... the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut. I hear there's a pretty strong contingent of Odyssey fans up there.

Yay for some one saying the northern provinces right! Oh, wait, you're Canadian, that hardly counts. I get so tired of stupid Americans saying Yukon Territory and Northwestern territory and no one's ever heard of Nunuvut.

Yay for some one saying the northern provinces right! Oh, wait, you're Canadian, that hardly counts. I get so tired of stupid Americans saying Yukon Territory and Northwestern territory and no one's ever heard of Nunuvut.

The problem is probably partially because Nunavut was formed fairly recently, and therefore a lot of Americans who might have learned the provinces in school or have an old atlas on their shelf have few reasons to have heard of it. I'm sure that it didn't make huge new in the States, and anybody who has a map that's more than ten years old won't have Nunavut on it. Therefore, I can cut people some slack for their lack of knowledge in this regard.

Fun fact of the day: for the sound effects/foley area of the stage for the live taping, they had a blue chair (my memory is telling me that it looked like a hand - am I going crazy, or was it just a weird chair?!) that was required because to make the sounds of people walking, the sound guys wear different shoes for different characters, so lots of shoe changing was required!

It was officially created in 1999, actually. I agree that more acquaintance can only be beneficial!

Fun fact: Will Ryan (Eugene) was supposed to be trying to act like Mr. Whittaker, so Will Ryan held a big white mustache cut-out in front of his face during those lines.
