Or you could go for cheap and build your own bike! Buy a good light frame, add some schwalbe tires, and some shimano disc brakes.

I'm not the least bit sorry I spent $425 on the bike... it was cheaper than I expected it to be and other than a few minor adjustments it's been perfect. I wouldn't want anything else for riding hills... just in town anything would've been fine but when it gets to be harder riding I'm glad I have my bike. Plus it's well built and will last me a long time as long as I take care of it.
It's good to visit again... it's been a while!
