Fun things in the day

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Fun things in the day

Post by Jonathan »

It's been nearly two hours since anyone has posted in McCalister Park, and nearly that same amount of time since anyone's posted in Old Gower's Road. This bugs me. So I'm making a thread \:D/

What are those nice little things that can just make your day? Those simple pleasures in life?

So what do we talk about?

Today, I went to the writing lab at my school to have someone go over the paper I have to turn in on Friday. My paper is about killing roaches. It's pretty weird. You wouldn't think that one could write 1200 words about a roach...but I did.

They say that a good English teacher can produce students that can write a minimum of 1000 words on any given subject.

I was deprived. :(

Things that make my day? People appreciating me. I don't look for kudos, but it's nice when they come my way!

Highlight of my day was my daughter taking a nap. She almost never does, but she's currently on a 3-day napping streak!! \:D/

Seeing a friend of mine decked out in sunday shirt, slack, black shoes, and a tie while others were in jeans and t-shirts.

Shooting targets with my brother. Making my parents laugh. Making other people laugh. Walking alone and singing sad songs.

Sounds like the perfect day.

Playing games with my family and playing with my cat. Also cleaning my room.
Just smell those burning leaves, the warm baked bread, and the hot apple cider. Ahhh.

For today, my fun thing was having a class cancelled! Yay! \:D/

I love it when I get a good Christian fiction book and can just sit in my room and read through the whole thing without interruptions! When that happens, it's been a good day.

One fun thing that happened to me today is the John Macarthur Study Bible that had been on backorder since Christmas finally came today! \:D/ It was great since my old Bible has come loose from the covers and all the beginning pages in Genesis were all wrinkled up like an accordion door. Now I can read Genesis again! \:D/

One of my favorite things that will just make my day is when I get a nice, cold, tall glass of Code Red. aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
