Need for Prayer

Hi everyone
As you guys might know I'm a teaching assitant in the special ed dept at my school. One girl there has muscular dystrophy(you cna google it for more info). On Monday Nov 27 she will be going in for surgery to put rods in her back as to help so that her organs wont collapse.
But this surgery is very risky. Ans there is a good chance that there will be major complactions and she might die on the operating table. And if she makes it through the surgery she will be on a breathing tube for about a week and when they take her off she might not be strong enough to breathe on her own, she also has OCD so the breathing tube would drive her crazy, so if it comes to that then her parents have a very difficult decison to make.
This Friday my school is holding a day of fast and prayer for this girl,so if you would like to join in than that would be great. If not then please offer up a prayer for this family. I can't imagine what they are going through as there are 2 other kids in the family so it is tough on everyone.
So if you could keep this family in your thoughts and prayers that would be very much apperacated.
I will try to update sometime next week and let everyone know how the surgey turned out.

Wow, that's really tough. I will definitely be praying for her and her family.

I am assuming she and her family are christians, correct?

I want to thank you all for your prayers this girl went into surgery at 7:00 yesterday morning and came out at 4:30 in the afternoon. And the surgery went great. She will be in the ICU for the rest of this week. The biggest prayer concern right now is that she is on a breathing tube so we are hoping that there will be no complications with that and that her lungs will be able to breathe by themselves without any probelms

I just wanted to let you guys know that this girl has been improving a lot and is now out of the ICU but they realized yesterday that she has an infection so she had to go in for another surgery today,I dont know the outcome yet but if you could pray that would be great cause its getting to be very stressful for her family.
