What movie is the best movie made so far this year?

And are any better than The LOTR series?

What movie is the best movie made so far this year?

Post by Danadelfos »

My personal opinion is none of the movies made this year (at least so far) are as good as LOTR. But Batman Begins did a pretty good job! :D What do you guys think?

Beating out LOTR will be very difficult. However, there have been a number of excellent releases this year:

Episode III: The first half
Batman Begins
War of the Worlds
Serenity

upcoming:
LWW
Kong

Everything beat Lord of the Rings! \:D/

Well, okay, probably not... but yeah, Batman Begins and Star Wars Episode III easily beat it. And Unleashed was probably the best movie I saw this year. I'm sure I'm forgetting some really awesome movies. LWW and King Kong I expect to personally like more than LOTR, but that remains to be determined.

I can't possibly respond intelligently to this thread until I see Potter, Kong and Narnia

I'll answer then

That I have seen?:

The Greatest Game Ever Played was clean and good. (One of the best Disney movies I've seen and I am not a golf fan.)

My favorite movie this year was Batman Begins. I anticipate TCoN and King Kong to be good too.

Yeah... as soon as I saw the title I was thinking 'Batman Begins'. So I'm going to go with that.

King Kong so looks like it's going to be cheesy. But it's hard to make that movie without making it cheesy. That's like what it's based around. :P Cheesiness!

Peter Jackson convinced Universal executives to allow the movie to be 3 hours long after showing them an early version of the movie. I doubt they would have agreed to a 3 hour movie if it was cheesy.

This won't be cheesy. It will be epic. It actually has a pretty good story.

Okay I'll make the case that I might see it. But not in theaters. But I never thought that the story line was that great. And has anyone ever seen a 3 hour cheesy movie?
