New Year's Resolution

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

New Year's Resolution

Post by Bren »

What's your New Year's resolution?

I'm gonna try to read my Bible through this year.

Sounds like a good one!

I tend to more focus on goals than resolutions. That being said, I have a significant resolution for myself that's quite personal so I won't post the details.

One that I will share is that I'm going to focus on letting things go and not letting fear determine my behaviour as it has done so much in the past. There are various factors for why fears get in my way, and I've worked a lot on unpacking a lot of that with and without professional help. This past year has been learning how to identify and handle those fears so they aren't overwhelming me. Now I am shifting to learning and putting into practice how to push past those fears and also know where to draw boundaries so I don't overwhelm myself and end up overwhelming myself with too much pressure with all of this.

Kind of a big thing, but also part of the continual learning process of life. :)

Me too! :highfive: I've done it in the past but not recently, so it's time to do it again.

Eugene, that sounds like a great goal. :)

To make enemies and not influence people.

How's it going so far, Top? It seems like it's hard to make enemies and also not influence people, since they should at least be influenced into disliking you. Sounds stressful. :(
