I'm not 100% sure this IS an issue, but has anyone else noticed an increase in bot-like activity? I've noticed several recent threads created by new users who are complaining about "issues" that don't really make a lot of sense, like negative balances, bans, etc. Then the users disappear and never post again.

(My apologies if you are all real people and I have just accused you of being bots. :- )

...also the preview button does not seem to be working, which I just discovered 30 seconds ago. I tried it on a few different browsers without success.

We have had a couple of first posts with atypical elements recently. Not quite sure what to chalk that up to!

Either you mean something different than what I'm thinking regarding the preview button, or it's you, or it's fixed. Try again - it just worked for me! If it still doesn't work, @Petrichor post again and we'll see if others have the same issue.

Yes, unfortunately that extension hasn't been maintained and it no longer works properly. I'm going to take a stab at updating it in the next little bit. O:)

Is it nontrivial to get this feature functional again? It's not a huge issue if it would be too much work, but would be nice if it's simple to do.

Hmmm... :-k I'm not sure about that. There are a few things on my list of things to look into for the ToO, so I'll put that onto it. I'm planning to spend another weekend to get through that list later this month. I'll keep you updated. :)

Has the website been down or is it just me? It seems like today is the first time it's loaded for me in a couple of weeks.

The server had been alternating between completely down or unusably slow for quite some time, yes. I managed to get a message to Eugene a couple days ago to make sure he was aware so it could be determined whether it was a forum or a host issue, because we hadn't changed anything on our end. I know he started looking into it yesterday, and we're definitely back to normal as of this morning, so if he ended up adjusting something then that was confirmed as the solution, if not then whatever was wrong just worked itself out finally.

There seemed to be a bit of an intermittent defect. Good to be back!
