I... don't remember how I spent it this year, or last year when you actually asked.Danadelfos wrote: Sat May 09, 2020 7:00 am How are you going to spend Father's Day this year?!?!

Not really. Super rarely maybe if someone is just playing through, but most speedruns just use weird glitches to skip most of the game and stuff and that's not even fun. I'll occasionally put on a game playthrough when I'm working out or something just to have something weird to watch. Although usually I'll watch some weird rom hack over a "real" game.

No, we haven't gotten into AIO quite yet.
Red.
Well, Die Hard then. And It's a Wonderful Life. And Elf. And Ernest Saves Christmas. And Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
It's a limited series instead of a movie, and I haven't actually seen it so I don't know if it will be a favorite, but I'm eagerly anticipating the Hawkeye thing on Disney +.

Are you serious about the Santa Claus Conquers the Martians? Also, you forgot the explanations! And I eagerly anticipate Hawkeye too!

Oh yeah, the why. >_>
Well Die Hard because there is shooting and violence and cocaine.
It's A Wonderful Life because I've always been a sucker for time travel/alternate reality/MULTIVERSE things. Hence Back to the Future trilogy are my favorite movies ever, but It's a Wonderful Life is like the Christmas version of that, sort of.
Elf is funny. I like dumb Will Ferrel comedy, and in this case it doesn't get too overboard or dirty or whatever. Plus Ed Asner.
The Ernest movies dipped in quality after Disney let the series go, but those first few (including Saves Christmas) are pretty great. Jim Varney always seemed like such a fun/funny guy.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is terrible and hard to get through... UNLESS you watch it on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
So no not necessarily really a favorite but I do have a lot of nostalgia for the MST3K version. My older brother was really into that show so those earlier episodes (before the host change basically, coincidently) from when he was still around sort of hold lots of memories of watching TV with him, even though I was pretty young when they first ran that show and probably didn't get half the references.

Oh man. Could go either way but I could see Eugene being the type that would calculate physics and anatomy better and be able to do weird kung fu.
I'm not sure why I don't think Parker could as well, but I guess he was bullied all the time before the spider thing so apparently he couldn't?

hi top,
if you had to assemble a rag-tag team of heroes to go back in time and take down the soviet union with only your sweet breakdancing skills, which toO member would you add to the team? personally, i think i would bring bookworm because every team needs someone who knows everything about everything. he will also inform us of when trailers for new movies are coming out.

I would bring bookworm for the reasons you mentioned (I really like movie trailers), but also King Kong Sk8er, hakeber, and Mr. Whit because, why they are probably like all 30 now, I think of them as wild little kids posting on the board, so they are probably good breakdancers.
hi top.
as a fellow child-haver, i am sure you have been made aware of the cultural phenomenon that is "bluey." i'm sure you have also been made aware of other franchises such as "the pj masks" or "daniel tiger." anyway, my question is, given the opportunity, which children's television character would you instate as world dictator? personally, i would pick spidey from the show "spide and the amazing friends" mostly due to the fact that he is spider-man and that rocks. my second pick would be bluey from "bluey."
