Shennifer became a citizen of the Town of Odyssey in June of 2009, and is known as one of the more artistic and creative ToO'ers around. She's a fangirl of many things and is a proud and prominent member of the Randoms. Isaiah the Ox sat down with Shen not too long ago to ask her some hard hitting questions.
Q: What talent do you have that you like the most? Shennifer: I have a way with words. I write poetry of a sort, and I think I'm good at it.
Q: What frustrates you? Shennifer: Not being heard or understood.
Q: What's your favorite musical? Shennifer: I haven't seen a lot of musicals, but I like Les Miserables. Also, Lullaby is a zombie musical on YouTube that has emotionally destroyed me in the past, so I hope that counts.
Q: Who are you subscribed to on Youtube? Shennifer: A ton of people, but the highlights are Peter Hollens, danisnotonfire, AmazingPhil, Jenna Marbles, Blind Wave.
Q: What makes you laugh? Shennifer: My dad, funny movies, the internet.
Q: What ToO board style do you use? Shennifer: Grayscale
Q: If you were to change the ToO in some way, what would you change? Shennifer: I don't think I would change anything
Q: What does AIO mean to you? Shennifer: It means so much to me, especially the older episodes. I grew up listening to it, and even now I still listen to the newer stuff and still like it. It means being connected to an amazing story, with characters I care about.
Q: What would you like to say about your Youtube channel? Shennifer: Oh dear. My YouTube channel is rather neglected right now because I stopped posting videos. I suppose I could pick it up again, but then I'd have to learn how to improve them and I'm not sure I want to take that time and energy.
Q: What is your favorite memory from the ToO? Shennifer: That snowball fight years ago, featuring people that aren't really around much anymore. also, when I recorded Aeva's parody of Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend", and bookworm helped put it on the ToO in his thread about the Biebs. Everyone loved it, which helped my awkwardness of it all
this is one I performed at open mic night last year. it doesn't rhyme and it might seem weird, but here it is anyway
hope you like it
I want to show off
Maybe I don’t
Maybe I can delude myself into thinking
That someone needs to hear what I am saying
God shows me images
And sometimes helps me know what I should pray
I sometimes see images about people
Some of you want wings
Some of you don’t know you have them
And some of you have them
Even though some of those wings are small, they are still significant
I see you flapping those wings, trying to fly, and only getting a few inches up
But that’s okay
You’ll get there
I have seen what some of you could be,
What some of you are
In the spiritual sense, anyway
I’ve seen royalty, kindness
Last year, I would sometimes look around
The cafeteria, or the campus
And try to See what God showed me
See who some of you are
What you could do
And wanting you to believe it
It might be easy to pretend I’m extremely special
Or powerful or amazing
And sometimes it feels like that; like if I speak
What I see, then all I’m doing is showing off
But other times? The images just come to me without asking
Some of you want wings
And maybe someday, God will show me that you have them
You’ve had them all along
Q: What is your favorite memory from the ToO? Shennifer: ... when I recorded Aeva's parody of Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend", and bookworm helped put it on the ToO in his thread about the Biebs. Everyone loved it, which helped my awkwardness of it all
I was really hoping you would mention that!
For the curious: origin and fruition
With a name that amazing, and with such fond memories attached, it is pretty great. I consider it for special occasions only, however, not for everyday use.
