So how do the drops work? They drop on the hour and every five minutes right? But do they replace the other eggs or become the next eggs in the queue?

Every hour on the hour, I think it's 15 eggs are cycled into the biomes. Every 5 minutes on the :X5 and :X0 marks, 3 eggs are rotated into the biomes. They might be in the queue before then, I don't know, but I do know that at those marks, they are automatically cycled into the biomes. It's just a matter of clicking through the biomes to see where are the new eggs.

In other news. I got 2 more cheese eggs, a Copper, Red Dorsal, Thunder (Took a whole lot longer than usual, too), and another Gwyvern, all from the cave. I did see a Gold caveborn egg, but alas, while I was clicking out of the biome....
