If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

It's difficult sometimes, but hopefully I'll pass.
This summer I shall be a Counselor/Lifeguard at a camp I used to go to as kid/teen, if it all works out
That's wonderful, Shennifer. I'm doing the exact same thing, actually. When will you be taking the lifeguarding course?
That's cool you're doing the same thing;
I'll take it as soon as a I can; presumably starting in a week or so (it goes for 4 days apparently)
I have forms to fill out and details to iron out; it's a bit overwhelming at times
Jesus' Princess wrote:@Marvin What exactly does that mean?
Basically moderate the discussion forums of the course, only with about 40,000+ people. So there are handbooks to read, training to go through, Google+ hangouts to attend. .it's actually quite professional and Leiden University's training program is one of the best from Coursera, so other professors will be sitting in on the training sessions. YAY.

I just moved to a new city for the summer. I was tempted to get up to all sorts of hijinks while my new roommates are absent, but instead I got the wifi password from the landlady so that I could continue wasting my life away on the internet.

And I just had my first day of my first job, moving cars and putting them through the car wash at a dealership's service area.

I wasn't yelling. I was talking with vehemence.
I'm anticipating submitting my final manuscript for my book tonight or tomorrow at the latest, unless something goes horribly awry. I want a fancy cover but I'm having issues with the graphic design team so I think I'm just going to have BIG TEXT ON BLANK BACKGROUND to launch and get a fancy cover later for future printings.
I spent the evening with my best friend and her three little boys, including a three-week-old baby. So little and so cute! He shrieked like the world was ending during and after his bath, but other than that, he was quite happy/sleepy. It's never boring to visit there.
Well, well, well...look who decided to make an appearance. Yep, me.
I am graduating this coming Saturday as Salutatorian. With that will come my personal laptop, which means thetoo will not be blocked. For whatever reason the ToO was blocked on my school, hence my long absence. But when I get my personal laptop and not as much homework, I can come back for a little bit.
Its amazing not actually having to do homework this summer but graduation has been surprisingly anticlimactic so far. I did get a new summer job this year in a factory. I don't yet know my position or shift...so I am anxiously awaiting that.
Anywho...it's good to be back at least for awhile.
The next time somebody thinks I should go swimming (which I do not enjoy, for the most part) I will say that I can't go because the person who will rescue me if I am drowning does not live in the same country as me. Congratulations on passing your tests, Shennifer!
I spent lots of time at church between yesterday evening and today, and it was great! My church was running a weekend course, and it was amazing. I had gone a few years ago, and it was even better this time around. God is very good.
