Just got done fighting back a massive spam account invasion.
Banned a bunch of email addresses; hopefully that will hold them off.

To fight back the current wave I have had to disable registrations using hotmail email addresses. If you want to make an account and have to use hotmail, let me know so I can allow you through.

I can only ban the addresses as they use them, so they keep coming back with new ones.

I cranked up the restrictions on new accounts. That should help some, but it will also affect legitimate users. We seem to have all we’re going to get right now already registered, but if you’re a new user and have trouble joining let me know.

You should just have every user have to be Admin verified. You can usually tell by their names if they're spambots. That's what I did.

I signed up, and I finally found an email in my spam box, but it just said: Your account is currently inactive, the administrator of the board will need to activate it before you can log in. You will receive another email when this has occured.

Hrm. I think it's busted. I've just left it in getting interest for awhile. If nothing changes I'll hit the 1,000,000 mark in 74ish days. You might want to take out interest before the economy completely inflates.

Well, the Webster Development Firm has certainly skyrocketed since my last purchase... It say I had one share, originally purchased for $240 (which also happens to be the lowest it's ever been); it's now at $2924. I'd say that's a fairly good profit.
I currently have $3,999.

I believe I finally discovered how to stop the redirect when you log in. It shouldn’t happen anymore, so please let me know if it does.

I tried to log in; this failing, I checked the memberlist and found I did not (or no longer) had an account.
When I attempted to create an account, this popped up.

Yes, that is a blank page I had to insert into the registration process to stop things from repeatedly erroring because something is broken right now and I can’t determine what. New registrations are not possible at this time. I thought you already had an account though.
I'll check.

But you’re right, you don’t. As I said you can’t make one at the moment, sorry. The registration system is broken somewhere. I’m working on fixing it but need to identify the problem first.
