But tradition isn't random. Its predicable and musical.

Than is it truly random. Should our random be random and not be traditionalist in execution?

What are the implications of the "Peanut Butter" in "Peanut Butter Randoms"? Is there any significant difference between normal Randoms and Peanut Butter Randoms? Does "Peanut Butter" designate a branch of Random?

:O I was totally watching that movie yesterday. Weird.
And no, "The Peanut Butter Randoms..." is our full organizational name, which for simplicity's sake has been shorted to "Randoms" for everyday usage.

Or, how about "Princess Peanut-Buttercup!"Shennifer wrote:I give you, Princess Buttercup!

A friend of mine read The Princess Bride, and she said it was terrible.
Apparently the Buttercup in the book makes the Buttercup in the movie look like Ms. Personality. Also, everyone else was really boring too.

I didn't like it that much when I read it (for reasons that aren't especially relevant), but I kind of like it now. I don't think Buttercup did have a great personality; she was more the Fair Maiden that the story focused around. We do get more background on Inigo Montoya and Fezzik (and possibly Vizzini?), as well as Prince Humperdink.Amethystic wrote:A friend of mine read The Princess Bride, and she said it was terrible.Apparently the Buttercup in the book makes the Buttercup in the movie look like Ms. Personality. Also, while there are a couple nasty swear words, Morgenstern/Goldman's style is very fun to read, similar to the movie's style. And Goldman claims that Morgenstern wrote The Princess Bride as social satire, and Goldman in his abridgment cuts portions to make the read a pleasant fairy tale story (supposedly). There are various notes from Goldman along the way explaining something or noting a cut section. One chapter is, I believe, missing entirely with a note from Goldman explaining how Morgenstern wrote the entire chapter detailing packing for a trip, satirically mocking the aristocracy, which Goldman summarizes briefly before the next chapter continues the story.
I like this idea~JCGJ~ wrote:Or, how about "Princess Peanut-Buttercup!"Shennifer wrote:I give you, Princess Buttercup!![]()

Well that's just plain disrespectful. And nasty.Moontide wrote:*eats artificial meat nuggets*
I lurk. Sometimes I post. I bizarrely enough developed what some experts refer to as "a real life", and so now I spend a lot more time doing non-internetty things. (Not to disparage the internetty things, of course. I do still love me some interwebz.)Moontide wrote:Do we know how many randoms are still active?

Sorry. That wasn't my intent. My plan was that by acting as an enemy I could get a Random to chase me (on the ToO. In real life would be creepy), and then we could have an entertaining silly chase scene. Apparently, my plan wasn't well planned. I am sorry.Well that's just plain disrespectful. And nasty.

The Randoms are revived!
These are dark times. My Anti-Random brethren are all sadly disappeared. I alone remain to do battle with the chaos and non-conformity that is this ridiculous, recreant rabble of reckless Randomers, wreaking ruination on all that is orderly and good. And meatless.
I shall not cower in the face of such odds! To me, those who would fight this madness! To me!
