I'm about to post all my pictures and stuff, and I was thinking that maybe we should start a new thread for all of our stories and pictures from the convention and live show. Do you guys think that is a good idea?

I was wondering if they were going to be there, but I figured they would've said something about it...God's Daughter wrote:And I found out Josh and Jordan from Blimey Cow were there too.

Actually they mentioned on Twitter that they were going to be in Dallas for the weekend. But they didn't mention the show specifically.

Heh, pictures of Tim, KBT, and I in the autograph express lane.
Also, on the second of the two giant card things they had for people to sign, I wrote "Happy birthday from the ToO" on the bottom of one of them.

To LGBT ToOers: The world is so much wider than your family and church. There are accepting people out there.

All right, it's story time! So this is how Tim and I's trip went.
We arrived at DFW airport and got our rental car by noonish, then headed to the bookstore where they were having the actors there for a radio interview and Get In The Show auditions. Then we ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A, because we don't have that back home and it's AIO-related.
We had nothing planned for the afternoon, so we Googled stuff to do in Dallas, and found a mention of a Rochester Park. Because we come from Rochester, we decided to go over there and get a picture of it to be funny, but on the way we took a wrong turn and accidentally got a tour of downtown Dallas before circling back around to where we first went wrong. When we finally got to where the park was, we couldn't really find it. By then it was a little after 4, and the convention started at 5, so we decided just to head to the hotel where the convention was, back near the airport. Unfortunately on the way there we ran into some very bad traffic and it took an hour longer to get there.
When we finally arrived at 6, those there were Jonathan, KBT, EMBEE, and OdysseyFan & his fiance. We ate some pizza, then started playing KBT's AIO Apples to Apples (we need an AIO-related name for it. Adventues to Adventures?), and I quickly accrued a large lead, then Mrs. Jason Whittaker (& friend & nieces) arrived. We all happened to be quieter individuals, but when kmap and related personages arrived, it got a bit more lively. We had some script excerpts so we had a contest for performing them, and kmap has quite the good Rodney voice. After OdysseyFan gave out the award bags with small selections from his collection, we slowly dispersed.
Tim and I were staying at a house 45 minutes across town, but we ran into some construction that delayed us an hour. It was a four lane highway, then it got all slow and we saw the sign "left lane closed ahead". Once that merged, we saw "left lane closed ahead". And then again. After an hour and maybe 4 miles we were finally down to one lane, then after only a couple minutes driving through the actual construction, we suddenly had four open empty lanes to speed away on.
Then it was Saturday, the day of the live show. Tim and I got to the church a little before 8, which was when the outer doors first opened for people to come in. KBT had been there much longer. The doors to the auditorium opened at 9ish, then after a while the show started. Those of us there for the first show were Tim and I, Jonathan, and KBT. After the show we got some of the Chick-Fil-A that they had had them bring over to sell, then got into the autograph lllliiiinnnneeee. I spell it like that because it was long... We waited for at least 2 hours, watching the same two animated Odysseys over and over, and didn't get to the front before they had to stop to get ready for the next show.
For the second show Tim, KBT, and I sat with Mrs. Jason Whittaker, along with Cher and Latch (of chatroom infamy). There were few differences between the two shows, with no real messups besides minor line errors and a dying fire extinguisher in the first show. After the second show they gave people the first show a jump to the front of the autograph line, so we were actually able to get some autographs. Then we took KBT to dinner and back to his hotel, and returned to our lodgings.
On Sunday we had a sort of mini-convention. After church, us, KBT, and Mrs. Jason Whittaker and companions met at Waffle House for lunch, then went to the Starbucks next door to play AIO Apples to Apples, which Tim and I tied in at the very end.
Then it was just Tim and me, and since we nothing else to do we went and saw Avengers, then on Monday morning we went to the flight museum in Dallas then got our flight home.
TL;DR: Traffic, convention, live show, long autograph lines.
