Out of curiosity how long will each game be? 5, 10, 30?
To LGBT ToOers: The world is so much wider than your family and church. There are accepting people out there.
That would be up to you and your opponent. It doesn’t have to be uniform across all individual matches.

This will be a 14 person bracket to determine the first ToO Chess Club champion.
As we become aware of everyone’s individual proficiency, we may develop a seeding system for future tournaments to make matchups more fair, skill level wise, but for now the competitors will be randomly matched.
The bracket was tricky to set up with this number of competitors, but I finally came up with something. It’s not completely fair, two people will be getting a free pass straight to round two, but it’s the only way I could make it work. If we ever get a seeding system this is where it would come into play, deciding who will get that free pass. Until then, it’s just all random.
You and your partner must be online at the same time to hold your match, obviously, but the whole tournament does not have to take place simultaneously. For each round, just find a time you and your opponent can conduct your own match and report the outcome here. Once all matches in a round have been played, the tournament will advance.
When you’re starting your match post an announcement here so if anyone else is online they can log on and observe.
This will be a lot of fun, let’s get started!
