Re: Do you think the writers should say where Odyssey is?
They already did say where it is. Listen to Family Portraits eps, they said it's in Ohio.

Re: Where do you think Odyssey is?
In the Family Portraits series (first episode, I think), they said the stories were set it "Odyssey, Ohio." Not that much of a mystery.

Okay, I'm missing something. Who is Mr. X? I'm assuming we're not talking about Mr. X from The X-Files, right?

Re: Time for a Change
The first episode that came to my mind was The Triangled Web. While it was a fun episode, I thought Connie's little "lesson" at the end was a bit sickening. "And I guess that's what makes Christian friendships different . You find that your friends are always your friends; you can pic...

Yep, I caught that when I listened to the episode. Between that and several X-Files references, I'm guessing someone at AIO is a fan of slightly obscure sci-fi shows.

Re: An Ode to Richard Maxwell
<r>Okay, not trying to put anyone down here, but could someone explain why Richard Maxwell seems to be such a popular character here? I mean, I don't hate him, but he was a relatively minor character who was only in a couple albums (plus 2 or 3 random episodes). In other words, I'm really neutral on...

But I can understand the turn around a culture shock. Its NOT him. But him having a heart... he has one... him having... a heart... for... GOD! (had to get that one out. lol), it could happen. We don't know enough about him though... *sigh* now that is the hard part. I don't know about stupid. Some...

Re: Nathaniel and Alex
I knew Travis Tedford was on Little Rascals (I think), didn't know about Blake Ewing. Well, I knew one kid was on Little Rascals, but I couldn't have told you who. And yep, I never thought they sounded alike either. Nathaniel sounded kinda like a nerdy kid to me. And not in a good super-smart/comput...

Re: Eugene's Brother's Name... HELP!!!!!
Eugene and Connie work together, don't they? Why shouldn't they hang out? It's okay if they hang out at work or whatever, but speaking from (someone else's) personal experience, it really is bad news for a man and woman to be friends and hang out together (without spouses involved) if one or both a...

Re: Novacom: Mitch & Connie
Yep, I gotta go with Tiger here too. And if they had brought Richard back and he was just totally turned around, that would have just been stupid. (In my opinion, that is.) And, dare I say it? I can't picture Richard and Connie together. And dare I say even more? I like Mitch better as a match for C...

Re: Eugene's Dad/A New Era
Yeah, I mean I understand dropping old storylines and old characters, but you'd think having one of the main characters married would be significant enough that they might at least mention her occasionally instead of completely ignoring her existence for an entire album.

Ah, but then she'd have to disappear in the next year or so.I think they should up Olivia's age and just make her be thirteen. She reminds me of a junior high, almost high school student. I think eleven is too young for the voice and actions.

Re: Eugene's Dad/A New Era
Noooo, of course not. But Eugene could still at least mention her occasionally, even if she doesn't appear in the shows for a while.

AE:
Yes the title is wrong, but actually the grammar is okay. "Finish what you started" would be an imperative (commanding) sentence telling someone to finish (now) what you started sometime in the past. No problems there.

True. But didn't Eugene say "Oh, we've kept in touch."
Although I guess that could mean anything from talking on the phone every week to sending e-mails at Christmas time.

You don't have to have be "approved" to help someone learn an instrument, at least in the United States Unfortunately... No ripping on people who aren't "approved" but are actually good teachers. I just had a really bad experience with a lady who "just liked playing piano a...

Re: Parker Family
Random thoughts on the Parkers: - Yep, Olivia seems whiny and a little obnoxious to me. I think maybe it's partly her voice. - It's nice to have a family with 3 kids. I know at one point, there were 3 kids in the Washington family (Marvin, Tamika, and Xavier or Kelly) and probably some other familie...
