What a challenge, I couldn't resist. This totally reminded me of my first forum days. ;D
Thanks AE, I haven't been that active post wise since last fall. Don't worry about the $20 though.

Pardon my asking, but what does SL mean? I looked it up and the only acronym was "secret lover" but that can't be true.Angel wrote:*SL* If I could 'like' posts, I would like this one.American Eagle wrote:This is an outrage!! No one was supposed to actually do it!

‘Seriously laughing’ I believe.American Eagle wrote:Pardon my asking, but what does SL mean? I looked it up and the only acronym was "secret lover" but that can't be true.
Or possibly 'source language.' lolbookworm wrote:‘Seriously laughing’ I believe.American Eagle wrote:Pardon my asking, but what does SL mean? I looked it up and the only acronym was "secret lover" but that can't be true.
This just makes me laugh so much more. It means Silent Laugh, because I laugh silently. JIA invented the term for me in the chat room a few years back.
You all had some good ideas, though, and it could have been any of those...sorta.
*ahem* Sorry for the confusion. But now you know, so don't you forget it! (in that voice the guy uses on AIO)

Oh, I meant it was a good idea as to what I meant. I believe you that it is a real meaning.

lol. Acronyms... some of them I still don't get today. I'm not partial to chat speak except for lol and tmi and a few other basic ones.
I always seem to have a few forums plagued by my name whenever I'm on... then I wait anxiously for someone else to post. That takes forever... lol. I've done this before though. Just... not recently.

Well, considering someone already took AE up on the challenge and beat him, I'd say we don't really have much more to discuss in here.
So on that note...I pretty much never use text language. Even when texting. But that's probably just me....

I don't text myself. lol. Parents just didn't think it was useful. I do sometimes use like "how r u?" if I'm really just in a hurry. But, I'm more partial to spelling out what I do. Because any acronym could mean anything I've learned.

I spell everything properly and use correct English and punctuation when I text. I hate it when people abbreviate or use bad English.
Love you always, SnC

I don’t text, but if I did I would too. I do in Instant Messages.Termite wrote:I spell everything properly and use correct English and punctuation when I text.
