Gold Audio Repacks

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Gold Audio Repacks

Post by Reddo »

As most of you have probably heard by now, starting next year they're re-releasing all of the Gold Audio series with colored splashes to fit in better with the rest of the series, If you're wondering when the estimated release date of these albums are so you can get either the gold or the non-gold versions, you can check out the current release schedule here: New_Releases

That's very helpful. The list makes it a lot easier to make sure I get the editions I want.

But August 2017 is a long time to wait for a general edition of It's Another Fine Day.

All the dates are tentative and may release sooner than expected. It all depends on their inventory. If they sell more AIO in a shorter time, we'll have the repacked series sooner. In other words, everyone get your friends hooked on AIO and we'll see wonders! :)

I half wish they'd just release them all at once so I can spend my $500 and get it done with. But the prospect of new repacks is what keeps me going each day... :anxious:

Perhaps, maybe they will put more of the unreleased episodes into the repacks? If they did that, I would buy them.

That would be AMAZING if they did that. And make the "behind-the-scenes" booklet longer and more behind the scenes. As things are now, the booklets are more of an insert and feature a sentence or two of BTS.

I can't see myself shelling out another $400+ for the Vol. 1-15 (plus the Lost Episodes) unless they add something other than layout redesign.

Then again, if anyone is interested in buying the current Gold Audio series, I'd probably start taking offers. ;)

It would be amazing. I've always been disappointed that they didn't add more Odyssey scrapbook moments into the repacks. All albums after 44 include BTS, and volumes 1-15 did, but Vol. 16-43 are completely featureless. The repack project would have been the perfect opportunity to let fans hear more about what many consider the golden years of Odyssey.

eBay is definitely the way to go. I got a lot of response even when selling cassette albums. You could probably sell off your Gold Audios one at a time as you obtain the new editions. It wouldn't be so overwhelming that way. Or you could sell them all in one big lump sum and be done with it. I'd wait until all the repacks are done for that, though.

Boswell, I heartily agree! We need more Odyssey Scrapbooks!
