Wikipedia says Alan Young died

The one who played Jack Allen died according to wikipedia. He died on the 21st, does anyone else know anything about this?

It's hard to believe this information as Wikipedia does not list a source.

But it wouldn't be a huge surprise - this year marks his 90th birthday. If it's true, this would be very sad news indeed. :(

While its certainly possible, that's the only source I can find, and wikipedia isn't known for being the most accurate source on the net. :anxious:

His official site and IMDB doesn't have anything on it yet...

He was well known for Mr. Ed, so I'd think it'd pop up on the news, but I could be wrong.

I've also looked everywhere and talked to a friend at Focus and they haven't heard anything yet either...

Well, there's nothing on Alan's official website about it. I can only assume that someone with the same or a similar name passed away, and whoever put that into Wikipedia assumed it was (well, I don't wanna say "our") Alan Young.

If this is true, this is the saddest news to ever hit AIO. Alan was an incredibly talented actor, and he brought so much heart to the show.

This website was last updated on the 21st, the day he allegedly died. It says he's still alive.

So basically the only person who says he's dead is User:BuddyBoy600. No offence to him, but I can't say I know him well enough to believe him with no evidence. :(

I pray this isn't true. Alan Young is a very talented actor and he sounds like a very sweet gentleman.

Wikipedia does lie. One time I clicked on a link for George Bush and it said he was secretly a woman. :anxious:

I'd lean toward it not being true.. I can't find anything else that says he's dead, and you can't really go by what some guy on wikipedia says.. ;)
