Yes, I know it's still two months away...
The Official 4th ToO Birthday Present Construction Thread
Hellooo everybody, it's that time of year again!...
Well, almost... still two months *mumble mumble* But anyway...
It's time to begin construction of the OFFICIAL 4th Town of Odyssey Birthday Present. Yes, you heard me. The Town of Odyssey is turning 4 YEARS OLD on APRIL 1ST!
So without further adieu, here's the first picture:
As you can see, I just bought an old abandoned farm and its land to build on.
The next update will be on Wednesday, and in other words, updates are every other day, or, if you want to be specific, on every even-numbered day.
P.S. Older people who've seen my previous presents, don't spoil the surprise, especially since you may be wrong.

That's just me for the picture. The contractor came today.Danielle Abigail Maxwell wrote:yeah, lots to do... hope that smiley can do it!

I double the size each year to keep up with the rising population, thus making a bigger project, henceforth requiring more time, therefore requiring an earlier start.King Butter Turtle wrote:For you to start this early, it must be massive.

Indeed, Arwen.
Anyway, today being Wednesday the 4th, time for an update!
The foreman arrived yesterday with his crew, and we are currently working on deconstructing the buildings. Note I said deconstruct, not demolish. We're saving all the materials. And for those who may have noticed the red-stained scissors-lift inside my truck from last year, that has been around since the very first present.

Okay everybody, I had forgotten about my weekend trip when I made my schedule, thus the lack of updateage on Friday, so today, I have two pictures.
TWO PICTURES!
So, as you saw, we had begun deconstruction of the buildings on the property. We are completely saving the buildings by jacking them up and putting big
caterpillar treads underneath it. (If you want to see this really being done, try searching for... something...)
And then today, we got the diggers in and have started digging out the foundation. The contractor's brought out his trailer, to go with my Airstream trailer and my 2006
trailer and Hummer H1. Note the two smilies with compactors to compact the soil when the diggers are done.
Update! We are almost done with the digging. Note the contractor grilling up some food for dinner and the water cooler on the truck.
Edit - double post combined - Catspaw

And they all sleep at the jobsite in the trailers except when they work nights.
If you wondering, you can post here.
We are starting to build the form for the concrete. One smiley is still compacting while the contractor instructs the other workers.
Edit - if you were wondering, you can edit your post instead of double-posting. - Catspaw
