How many people, when they sign up for forums and stuff...

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Do you actually read the rules of a forum, youtube, facebook, myspace, ect. before signing up?

I have no life, and must read them to fill my time!

I don't know if I've ever read the rules, present site included. Bunch of legalistic jargon! How can I make tails or heads of it?

I guess that would be another category.

Would some moderator add that under the name,

"I just kinda look at it because I don't want to waste time, but I have time to kill, even though I am wasting time now!"

#2 is my vote. I have found since I joined my first forum that the rules are pretty much the same. I will skim through them for safety, but I don't take time to read them. I do not join forums to break the rules anyway.

I'm not much on reading long things, so even if I do try to read them, I usually just end up skimming through it and not getting a single thing. :)

The technical jargon that comes up when you register I just carefully skim. The ones posted by the site are what I pay close attention to. Yeah, I read the instructions before assembling/installing stuff too. O:)

I did here and at the TH.

I'm only an active member at one other board, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't read the rules.

On forums I usually "carefully skim," haha, just to be safe. :)

I read, in general, at a level slightly above skim; not paying total attention, but not actually skimming either.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

Yeah, really. I just scan through it to make it's not a scam that they just know everyone will skim through it so they can write whatever they want, and people won't notice. Some thing like, "As soon as you have registered to your account, we will send you an activation code that you must enter in at (whatever site) which will automatically launch a virus into you computer and take over and make us accessible to hack into your account!" when you skim through it you see, "Virus, activation code, so you just think they're all anti-virus protection stuff. pretty clever... :-s

I don't unless I see a rule that is completely random/hilarious.
