The Complete Guide to Adventures in Odyssey

Do you have it?

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

The Complete Guide to Adventures in Odyssey

Post by Macnut »

So I today I was on eBay and found The Complete Guide to Adventures in Odyssey (which I don't have) for about $1.50. It was a Buy It Now price so I could get it at that price right then. I had looked at his ratings and he had mostly positive reviews so I bought it. After I paid for it using a PayPal account I went back and read his reviews more thoroughly. I found that while most of his reviews were positive the ones that weren't said that they waited a month or two before receiving the item or they never got it.

I only spent $4.91 for it. But if it never comes in should I keep trying to find one? Is it worth it? Do ya'll really like it?

Indeed, I've got that book! It received so much use from me when I first got it that within a year it was completely falling apart. But it still sits up on my shelf in my room, and is a very good book! I'm missing the inserts in the middle, though (which included many pictures of actors and actresses from the show). I guess they fell out one day and I didn't notice, and now they're lost forever. :( I've often considered looking for another copy (one in better condition), but I probably will never act on that.

Anyway, if you can manage to get a copy, I would highly recommend it! It's a pretty thorough book and I've found it to be very useful. It only lists AIO information through 1996 though, so anything from the last 10 years aren't in there. But that's the only drawback. :D

Mine is all torn up, at the bottom of my sister's floor. I remember treasuring my Complete Guide the first day I got it (shortly after it came out). I remember staying up to all hours of the night reading every word on every page.

It was also then that I found out that Harlow and Eugene were both played by Will Ryan.

Well, I'll let you all know if it ever comes in.

If it doesn't I'll probably buy one somewhere else...I guess.

I just got one this summer from amazon.com, and I was so excited I was reading it at the chiropractor! \:D/

But yes, it's a very good buy. I wish they'd spent more time talking about the history of AIO and other memories the cast and crew had, but there was a lot in there, so who am I to complain? :-

I have The Complete Guide. Once upon a time, I read through it two times, and now it's collecting dust! I do recommend it since it has tons of fun factoids and and some general stuff you've always wanted to know. I think Nathan mentioned that an updated Complete Guide was in the works.

You read it cover to cover two times! Whoa! That's amazingly hilarious!

How exciting! But still, they probably won't put everything from the old one into the new one, so I'd still get both. Especially since you can get them online for just a few dollars at *cough* amazon \:D/

For the old guide, what's the best website to get it from?

Should I get it from amazon? :-k
