ToO Fantasy Hockey League

Post by Trent DeWhite »

With the upcoming NHL season just around the corner, I figured it be about time to start up the second annual ToOHL fantasy league. Last year was a tremendous success with twenty participants, but I think we ended up having a lot of people who lost interest after the first few months. This year, anyone is welcome to sign up and everything should be in place for the league to start on October 5th. All you need is a free yahoo account and then you can sign up for the league at this address:

Join the ToOHL!!

The League ID is: 29415
The password is: odyssey

(you will first need to register for your free yahoo account and/or sign in)

First, we will go through the process of drafting players. More details on that will be provided when and if you join. Then, as the NHL season goes on, teams will be ranked based on various statistical categories from the actual league. Those with the highest points at the end of the season will win bragging rights! In addition, I will be putting up $50,000 of my own ToO money as prize money for the top 3 teams in the league. $25000 for the first place winner, $15000 for the second place and $10000 for the third place winner.

If you wish to participate, simply send me the entry fee of $1000 and post here. I'll add you to the ToOHL faction as soon as I receive your entry fee. There are only twelve slots available, so join now before they fill up!

Disclaimer: The NHL season (and correspondingly, this fantasy league) lasts for 6 months. To truly do well, you must be actively involved in updating your daily roster lineups. If you wish to sign up, it is recommended that you have at least some interest in the sport. Otherwise, it will make for a very long season. ;)

There was a ToO Football league? ;)

Haha, though I'm not sure about Canadians "taking over the board." Last I checked, there's never been a term where a Canadian wasn't in charge ;). Thus there's nothing to take over!

Maybe Shadowpaw is also referring to mods? After all, several Canadians have been mods all four terms. (and he may have even given something away about term five...) :- Or maybe he was talking about himself. (By the way, I had no idea that Shadowpaw was Canadian until now.)

Anyway, I would join, and I already have a yahoo account, but unfortunately I can't stand hockey. :-$

We don't count, we never did anything useful. It was mostly just posts in the admin forum to Shadowpaw of "Can you do _______ for us?" \:D/

I will once again sign up as the Thundercats! \:D/ Dr. Watson will be "half-owner" of the team, if that's okay. :)
