1928 Cell Phone!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Wow. Time travel? I don't think so, though.

..Or it's an old hearing aid. They were rather large back then.

I wish I could travel through time. Just like in the movie back to the future. It seems like so much fun!

That is so random. It made me laugh, but it's still random. \:D/

It'd be weirder if some old lady from the present came out and admitted she was "the time traveler"...

Is that a real newscast or is this just some hoax?

The news report and the clip are both supposedly real. May be the 28th was a slow news day, or may be it's Fox News. :-

Hey, don't diss Fox! ;)

And yeah... She could just be a little... special minded, if you know what I mean. =P

Well, chances are it is someone from modern time or the future, so there is no reason she would be old now, assuming she returned. ;)

The problem is... the cell phone would be useless since there would be no cell towers and presumably no one else to talk to. ;)

It would work if The Doctor adapted the cell phone ;)

It wasn't just fox, I'm pretty sure it was also on CBC.

But maybe she travelled really far into the future where they had phones that didn't need towers to work? I mean if she travelled back in time what's stopping her from going to the moon before she's on earth with her buddy and planting a satellite on the moon in the past? Then maybe it'd work??

That's pretty weird, but I doubt it had anything to do with time travel.
