Thank you for the explanation, Boswell!
Why is that, Regis?

The artwork is actually a nod to Indiana Jones, which took place (mostly) just before World War II. Another example of a cover that spoofs Indiana Jones is that of Vol. 27, which had an acceptable colour scheme. Come on, marketing, don't just play colour palette roulette when you're making these things!Regis Blackbeard wrote:It just doesn't go with the wild west look.

You do have a point; that colorsplash just seems really odd...

Shipping to Sweden is horrendous, so I won't be replacing anything I don't already own. For the most part I haven't liked the new designs. The exeption would be Days to Remember. That one, I might be tempted to buy if it was readily available. As it is, I'm having enough trouble getting the new stuff. CBD does ship overseas, but it isn't worth the cost unless you place a mega-order. That's how I lost out on BTV: Grace. I was waiting for my next round. I also liked the cover for For God and Country and Hall of Faith, but since those are made of already released episodes, I won't be getting them any time soon either. I upgraded my cassette albums to CD before I came over. All but Good Grief which I keep lobbying to have released on CD as well.
BTW-Focus NEVER responded to my email about how do get individual episodes on CD, so I guess they are not doing that anymore.

I was able to confirm that the album 52 cover is not final at this point. I think it would be safe to assume that the rendition of "The Lost Episodes" with the blue frame is probably not final either. Hopefully that calms some fears.

Of course they are going to change it. Reason being? I posted here that I liked it. I guess I jinxed it.Jacob Isom wrote:I was able to confirm that the album 52 cover is not final at this point. Way to go, Laurie! The cover for 52 was really good! Naw, they'll probably keep it almost exactly as it appears, but I'll take any hope I can get that the Lost Episodes is not final.Laurie wrote:Of course they are going to change it. Reason being? I posted here that I liked it. I guess I jinxed it.

It can be whatever they want it to be as far as I care; we already have Album 1 and Album 5 (on cassette--welcome to my cheapskate family! ), so it really doesn't matter to me.

It's the same artwork as the original from what i can tell. The horses are rather funny looking, but other than that it's the same.Jason Whits son wrote:Why? I think it looks great!Mark Prescott wrote:AHHH!!!! That album 5 artwork is SOOOOOOO wrong!!!!!!

It's as good, if not better, than the original. No objections here!

There are very few of the repacks I have liked, the exeption being On Earth As it is in Heaven. I didn't care for the original 'rock look'. What's with the flying pizza? I would think the burning barn would make it scary for little kids. I would not buy an album I already had just because it has a new cover. I would however, buy a new 'american history' album if it included the American Revelation, Lincoln, The Underground Railroad, and The Jubilee Singers all in the same album. That would be cool!

I like the new album 5 cover. The old Gold-Audio version doesn't look like the normal Gary Locke style. Did he draw those ones? I like Whit still looking like his older version, just a bit thinner. A good picture of him in my opinion.

Yep. Using my signature for a shameless plug. But trust me. If I can be so arrogant, I think it'll be worth your time.
