EDIT: Macnut, Trent DeWhite, and connies#1fan have been granted a day's extension (meaning, through today) to get their lists in, because all three of them expressed an interest in the contest before the deadline., and because the contest itself was very short-notice.

It seems like Chris meets that description but I know she may not count because she isn’t in the actual episode itself but she does play a role other than herself so I thought I’d throw it out there. If you don’t count it, that’s fine.
Let the games begin!

2. For a character to be considered as an appearence, their voice must be exclusively recorded for that episode. It can't be one of those shows where they have flashbacks and paste their voice in, nor does it include anyone who introduces the show at the beginning, nor any commercials in the show, or any "Odyssey Scrapbook" moments. It must be the actual episode itself.
By "actual episode itself," I take that to mean what's in between the opening and closing wraps. Also, I wouldn't really consider Chris a character... more of the host. An announcer and commentator, but not really a participant.
So all that to say... I won't be counting her. Sorry. But interesting point, I don't think Bennett had her in mind when he wrote the rules.

Hahaha...I didn't even see that one. I just read the first sentence and I skipped the rest. Sorry. I guess I have just always thought of her as a character because back in some of the original episodes there would be this little, short, side story type thing that'd go on at the beginning and end of the episode...but they don't really do that anymore.
All that to say, that's cool. Thought I'd give it a try.
By the way, thanks for running the contest this year!

Yeah, I remember that...and beginning/end characters like Randall the mailman I really liked some of those old vignettes. And you're welcome! I actually kept track of the scores last season too, because I wanted to find out how I was doing right away So, it's pretty fun.

Episode: A New Era, Part 1 Pointworthy Character: Eugene, Katrina, Leonard, Aman, Joanne, Whit, Thelma Meltsner, Dr. Morton italics - Not included on anyone's list
Aw, we should've gotten Thelma! I heard the preview but didn't get that it was a flashback. I thought another woman was naming a baby "Eugene" in honor of Eugene Meltsner.

That's exactly what I thought too! But oh well, at least we weren't the only ones who didn't catch it.
I was more conservative on my guesses that usual... we'll see how that works out.
