What's Downton Abbey like? I heard it's kinda... inappropriate.

It's a well done show, but all three seasons have a couple of episodes that have one or two inappropriate scenes

I watched Thor because I felt like watching it, and I had only seen it one time before. It isn't perfect, but I do really like it. It made me want to watch The Avengers again, so I'll have to do that soon. Yay for Marvel movies on Netflix! \:D/

I also watched an interesting movie called Romantics Anonymous, which I also saw on Netflix. It sounded like fun because it involved romance and chocolate making, but what I didn't realize until the movie started was that it was entirely in French, with English subtitles. It was not labelled that way at all. The title and description were in English, and no mention of being subtitled was evident that I saw. Oh well. I guess that's a fun part of Canadian Netflix! \:D/ I was glad that I watched it, though. It was a sweet story about two nice but awkward people working relationship stuff out, with yummy chocolate appearing regularly! The funny part of the subtitles was that the song, "I Have Confidence," most commonly associated with The Sound of Music, was sung during the movie, and of course I recognized the tune right away, but the translation didn't often line up exactly with the English version. A similar meaning, but not identical words. Some things are lost or changed in translation, I guess!

The Hunger Games after which I decided that the book was better.
Before that, I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame which was a brilliant movie. Wonderful! Now to read the book.

I watched Saving Winston recently, I really enjoyed it. It's a movie about troubled teen who is sent to a horse farm where she learns about redemption and God. My family doesn't usually watch movies, we don't even own a TV, but we watched this one on our family computer.

August has been a slow movie month for me. I've been watching a lot of TV episodes on Netflix. ;) I did watch a nonsensical movie called Babysitters Beware, but I barely remember it.

Beowulf. Good movie, so close to being perfect. Not for kids, obviously, but it just needed a little bit to push it into the brilliant zone.
