I enjoy every single episode. I love the characters, and the friendly, Christian atmosphere. I'm not as critical about the new episodes as other people are, though you could do better. I'm still your 100th #1 fan! Keep on trying, and soon the episodes will be as good as the old ones.

Dear Focus on the Family,

I'll tell you what you need, since obviously I as a fan am much more knowledgeable of how all this works compared to you career professionals who do this for a living.

Two words.

GRITTY REBOOT.

Look how well it worked for Batman!

Totally ignore the established history and make Whit a Vietnam vet and have Jerry serve in Desert Storm, where he suffered Gulf War Syndrome and came home and went on a shooting spree and Whit had to take out his old service rifle from Vietnam and take down his own son to save the town! Of course this event causes Whit to also suffer post traumatic stress, coupled with the atrocities he performed in Vietnam (he was just following orders) and the forced shooting of his child. As a result, while he seems a kindly comic shop owner (the old Whit's End isn't DARK AND GRITTY enough), but at night he hunts down child killers and abusers and murders them. Bernard served with him as well, and lost his legs in Vietnam, but they are still friends and he drives Whit around at night in their battle van full of awesome weapons and stuff. Jason Whittaker isn't a secret agent, but served in Afghanistan and came back to Odyssey to work for the police force. Jason also has a dark secret. He witnessed the brutal murder of his mother (sorry, forgot to mention that. Strep throat or whatever she died of isn't dark and gritty enough) by a Mexican drug cartel who chainsawed her to death. Now by day he is a forensic investigator in Odyssey, but by night he also hunts evil doers, both Whit and Jason unaware of what each other is doing. There could be a great storyarc of Whit killing a man no one suspected of anything evil so Jason goes after the killer who turns out to be his father! There could also be a great story arc where Tom's Farm is really a camp for abusing children like that Penn State coach, so Whit and Jason team up and brutally kill all the workers! And Wooton... well Wooton would be quick to go since his house is basically a FREE CANDY windowless van.

Also, Connie is an emo goth chick with lots of piercings and tattoos who is morbidly obese but has a heart of gold and Eugene is a cyborg.
