10 Things about You

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

THEY DO?!!! I'll attempt to see both the same weekend then, unless I work. I really have no idea what my schedule is...

2. I got my dream job in an oncology inpatient unit as an RN
3. I moved 1500 miles for said job
4. I take an anti-depressant
5. I have over 50 Star Trek books
6. Even after all these years, I still have a gigantic crush on Richard Maxwell
7. I secretly still want to meet Nathan Carlson
8. I love Western Family Raspberry Cream Soda
9. I have two cats - James "Tiberius" Kirk and "Princess" Whitelaw
10. I'm a really slow reader

2. I'm 4/5 done my civil engineering degree.
3. I have a garden with flowers and some vegetables.
4. I used to read a lot, but now that I spend almost an hour a day driving I've developed a strong appreciation for audio books.
5. I know my name and a few other letters not in my name in morse code.
6. I like butter.
7. My favourite colour is purple.
8. My favourite animals are owls.
9. I'm a big proponent of the Keystone XL pipeline.

The Minions release date got moved, so now they aren't on the same weekend.

I'm not sure where to even start with ToO, its a little overwhelming for me (haven't been active online in years other than instagram or tumblr, i'm such a dinosaur) but this thing caught my attention, so I thought i'd give it a shot.
1. I love to draw, and recently, it's been Jason and Connie fanart
2. I am a huge bookworm. I love all books, and some favorites are The Chronicles of Narnia series, all the Anne of Green Gables books (or anything by L. M. Montgomery), Gone with the Wind, and well, almost anything!
3. April 2015 I had open heart surgery for my damaged mitral valve and was supposed to get a mechanical heart valve, but I got my miracle and out of a 10% off chance, they were able to fix me up good as new!
4. I've been living in America (legally) since 2000, but originally, I am from Moldova, which is a little country between Ukraine and Romania.
5. I speak Russian, Moldovan, and English :)
6. I went to college for two years trying to figure out what I wanted to do, spent the next two years working towards my associates degree in Early Childhood Education but just one class shy of graduating, I decided that it's not what I want to do with my life.
7. I'm thinking about being an interpreter. It would pay more than a teachers salary anyway..
8. I have a medium sized family, seven kids, with me smack dab in the middle.
9. I love watching/reading anything thats about true crime or serial killers or murderers or anything else thats kinda awful.
10. I love vintage style and anything vintage actually :)

Well there you go, I kinda went overboard on this, oops :)

You're such an interesting person, girlster! I'm glad your heart surgery was such a success. That is pretty amazing!

There are seven kids in my family too! Only I'm the 5th born and not directly in the middle (but, I'm still VERY much a middle kid =p).

Oh, and welcome (again) to the Town! \:D/ We have missed you in the chatroom.

Thank you snubs!
Wow, that's awesome that you have six siblings! Lots of kids can be a pain, but it's also so fun!
Yeah, I'm blessed with my whole surgery thing, and mostly because it got me back on track with God, since I've been straying. So, as I like to say, my heart has been physically and spiritually healed!

I like that. That's pretty neat. Goes to show you how God can use a hard situation and turn it into something good. I'm so glad you're on here, girlster! =D

Welcome to the ToO girlster =) I also love the Anne of Green Gables series, it's such a classic. And it's really cool that you speak three languages.

Haha, I love how you dug up your old posts to compare to the present day! What a great idea, and very informative to read through. Do you still listen to audiobooks, even with so much less drive time?

1. Both my wife and I are currently self-employed.

4. I enjoy using Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, and I think they are all viable options depending on your needs.
5. Currently my favorite board game is Tiny Epic Galaxies.
6. My childhood was dominated by LEGOs, SimCity 2000 SE, and Adventures in Odyssey.
7. Every day I write out a plan for what I'm going to do that day using the time blocking technique.
8. I love doing research.
9. I'm currently learning React.
10. I wish I had more time to listen to audio books.

It's so much fun to take a little blast in the past and remember what I used to be like!
I actually do a fair amount of travel for work, and I do still listen to audiobooks and podcasts while I drive! :)

Nice! I find that the time just flies by when I listen to stuff as I drive. I guess it's no surprise that there are people on an AIO fan site who like audiobooks. ;)
