Star Wars: The original movies or the new?

Post by AIO Psyche »

I LOVE the old ones. I used to watch at least one movie everyday. But the new ones feel.......different. I don't like them near as much as the originals. Although, I must admit I'm looking forward to episode 3.......

I like the old ones much better.

Phantom Menace I really don't like... Attack of the Clones is pretty enjoyable, but not up to the same snuff as the original trilogy, IMO.

I, too, am anticipating Episode 3, though! \:D/

Actually I prefer the Origional Trilogy, but not the DVD version of it. Special Edition of Star Wars is what I like.

I dislike the Special Edition. It's not that big a deal, but the whole Greedo shooting at Han thing annoys me.

I'll take the Special Edition over the DVD's any day, though. The changes made in the DVD are much worse.

True... I prefer the "Digitally Remastered" version that came out before the Special Edition... I really wish they would do a "no extra weird things" version on DVD. :(

The old ones. Of course.

...and how could you not like the Greedo scene? =p Greedo instantaneously made it into one of my favorite non-hero-characters. "Una goota, Solo?"

Maybe it has something to do with the Rodians' strange resemblance to the Protoss.

I dislike it because Greedo never got off a shot in the original movie... thus setting up Han as the scoundrel he is... [-(

If he shoots before Han, then Han is just defending himself. It ruins his character!

Original movies, I must say. Although the lightsaber scenes weren't nearly as spectacular nor entertaining as they are in the new movies, the storyline, the plot, and the characters were all better.

I love the original trilogy! For me, the cooler lightsabre battles and stuff like that in the newer movies doesn't influence my decision because that isn't the main thing that I look for in a movie. The original trilogy has a good storyline, a romantic angle that I enjoy watching unfold (over and over again), and Harrison Ford! \:D/ What more could anyone look for in a movie? ;) I saw the original ones first, so I guess the characters grew on me a bit more too. I would rather watch Han Solo than Qui Gon (yes, I know that they aren't supposed to fill the same role, but whatever) any day.

I too would rather watch Han, than Qui... but the old ones are bad. Like when Leia hardly wheres anything when she's caught by Jabba. *shudders*

The problem with the prequels is that they have made Anakin this whining brat and so you don't feel so bad when he turns to Darth Vader. That and the plot line is very weak.

I prefered the old ones better... I dunno why, I just did. There are aspects of the new movies (maybe like 2) that I like, but really, I prefer the old ones. Though, you can be sure to see me waiting in line to see 3. :-$
