A few days ago, BBC, in a news broadcast, said, "Apple is set to unveil a new video iPod at the BBC Television Centre in London on October the 12th. The company is expected to reveal details of the new MP3 and video player as well as video bundles to be available from the company’s iTunes stores."
WHOA. THIS IS FLIPPIN AWESOME!!!!!!!
But, shortly after that, all trace of this story was gone. Totally. Everything including audio and video was pulled, and this story hasn't been heard since. Did BBC accidently leak this info? Could Apple be preparing to launch the coolest gadget since the CD player?????
Is this true? Is Apple about to release an iPod video? Or did BBC get thier facts turned around, and pulled all traces of the story simply to make them look better? Come October 12, we shall know.

Anyway, it has been suspected that Apple has had something like this up their sleeve for several years, but are waiting to release it until current iPod sales start to slack off a little bit.
