Thought I'd make a thread for the random but interesting stuff we learn every once in a while. It doesn't strictly have to be the day you learn it.

I learned that the only known use of the word "bequit" was in 1577 in the writings of Richard Stanyhearst, an Anglo-Irish scholar, translator, poet, and royal alchemist for King Philip II of Spain. I had to look it up because my Dad was trying to use it in our Scrabble game! https://www.oed.com/dictionary/bequit_v?tl=true https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Stanyhurst
