I just heard that this was a thing (and that it was animated) yesterday but hadn't seen the trailer yet. Going with an animated show definitely makes it easier to bring back characters, since you don't need all the original cast and I'm sure it's cheaper and stuff.

I liked the first movie and the sequels were okay, but I don't know if I'll watch this or not. If someone watches, please share your thoughts.

The Joan of Arc joke at the end is pretty dark (though I assume most kids would miss it) - I'm curious about the humour and intended audience.

This has always been one of my favorite movie series so I'm happy to get a new installment. That preview doesn't give me the highest hopes about its quality, unfortunately, but it's possible it will be better than it looks, you can't tell from trailers really.

I would have preferred another live action movie, but I understand the motivations to change so I'm not too disappointed in it being animated in general. I am a bit wary of the particular animation style though, I'm unsure if I'll be able to get into it for a full movie length feature. I don't think it's bad, it's just not my personal taste. It will probably grow on me once I start watching, if the movie is good.
