The Barclay family of four takes off for a Florida vacation, but they get stranded when the family car breaks down.

"Hey, this thing works!" That's a rare introduction, but it's great when you do hear it. Anyway, this the introduction of the Barclays, one of the mainstays of Odyssey's first era. Even though Chuck Bolte would take over as the VA for George, I never could tell as a kid it was a different actor. Same for Mary Barclay. This is a great episode, and really set the personalities of these characters. And it taught excellent lessons on boredom, family, and friendships. I like this one. 5/5.
