The Town of Odyssey

For the last week or so, I have been working on the guide my administration put together 10 years ago. Most of it is dated and I want something that any new members can read and be able to enjoy the fine site that has been apart of my life for years.

So far my changes have been to update the forum tour and add a few links. I also updated the Hillingdale info. I took this section completely out because it's dated.

• The Shop is a place to buy things of all varieties (using your ToO money). Once purchased, these items go into “your inventory” for all to see.
• ToO TV is a place to watch and listen to various podcasts and such. Designed by Eugene to work with Microsoft Silverlight, the application plays both audio and video. In the future, users may be able to upload their own content.

Granted, the images need updated, which I am doing my best with via a phone. But, what else do you guys think should be changed? Do we cut election talk out or just update it?

The Chat is still around, so will you add that back in somewhere?

The chat will be in there somewhere.

I'd keep the things about elections in, even if they rarely happen, because in principle they can happen, and they are part of how the site was intended to work. Users should be aware of this theoretical difference from other forums.

I think the election stuff should remain. I promise to do an election in January, after the Christmas board goes down, and we'll see if we can get some competition going.

I'm just glad to help the board that has been a big part of my life for years.
