Questions for the Mom of a Bearded Dragon

Post by Parakeet »

Soooo i have a juvenile beardie named Lightning... he/she's too young to tell what gender he is, so i just call him a "he". :anxious: 8-)

ask me anything you want about him! \:D/

*WARNING: i tend to ramble sometimes.. brace yourself  :p

EDIT: you can also ask questions about me too, not just Lightning 8-)

Wait, can we only ask you questions about your dragon?

Who are your favourite Adventures in Odyssey characters?
Would you prefer living in the city or the country?
Besides the wisened old Whit, which character has inspired you the most?
Why did you choose your username? :)

The city, because ticks and spiders freak me out
Probably Wooton, he always looks on the bright side and is so kind, thoughtful and creative
I chose my username because I've used it on many sites and games; my mom came up with it for me when she was setting up a Webkinz account for me lol.. it means God's princess, since I'm a child of God and He's the King. :)

I like your avatar. =D

What's the greatest thing about having a bearded dragon? Other than being able to say you have a bearded dragon. Honestly, I'd get one just to be able to say that. But I have no time for pets.. so I'll never be cool like you. Waaahhh.

Aww thanks! snubs made it for me :D

well it's pretty cool to show him to friends, watch him eat crickets, and hold him. and yes, it is fun to say i have one :p
it does cost some money though, (of course) so that's one of the only downsides :(
8-)

Ah! What a cool looking bearded dragon! Did you say whether or not you know its gender? It looks young. :)

How many episodes of Adventures in Odyssey do you listen to per week?
What is your favourite action/adventure episode?
Do you have any ships? \:D/

Hmmm, that's a hard one... :-k maybe like 10 or so a week if possible? I like to listen to at least one a day, and sometimes I listen to several a day, so...
I really like Snow Day, it's my all time favorite; would that count as an action episode?
Well I'm currently shipping Buck and Jules... lol :p 8-)

Update on Lightning!

This morning he's been shedding a lot, which means he's growing! \:D/
I'm adding a pic of him shedding so you can see what that looks like:

If you have questions about Lightning, shedding, or me, feel free to ask! :D

Why did you name him Lightning?
How old is he?
If you could have any pet (and Lightning of course) what would it be?
Also, he is very cute. :anxious:

Kathy0 wrote:Why did you name him Lightning?
Because he is very, very fast when he wants to be :p
Kathy0 wrote:How old is he?
I'm not quite sure... according to a growth chart I've seen, he's probably around three months, since he's about 10-11 inches long from his nose to the tip of his tail
Kathy0 wrote:If you could have any pet (and Lightning of course) what would it be?
Probably a leopard gecko? or another beardie
Kathy0 wrote:Also, he is very cute. :anxious:
Aww thank you! He was so adorable when he was little, now he's like "I'm past the cute stage, now I'm at the look-like-an-awesome-dinosaur stage." he grew all these extra spikes and he's been shedding like crazy! he grew so much! I'll try to add another, more recent picture of him soon #-o

May we ask you personal questions?

Do you know anyone else with a bearded dragon?
What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
Do you prefer ice cream or custard?
What condiments do you usually add onto your sandwiches and hotdogs?

GJ wrote:Do you know anyone else with a bearded dragon?
Well yesterday a lady at the zoo was showing me a uromastyx (link to a pic of one here:
https://www.google.com/search?q=uromast ... lYUTbQK43M: ), and she said it's basically an African bearded dragon. Then I told her I have a bearded dragon, and she said she had one too! Also a friend who moved to Texas told me recently that his friend has a bearded dragon too. :) I don't personally know anyone who has one though :(
GJ wrote:What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
I usually like upbeat music, like Hollyn or Tobymac. I also like a couple songs by Matthew West and NF.
GJ wrote:Do you prefer ice cream or custard?

Ummm... both! :yum:
GJ wrote:What condiments do you usually add onto your sandwiches and hotdogs?

Sandwiches: mayonnaise or mustard. Hot dogs: Ketchup, mustard, occasionally dill relish (NOT sweet relish).
