I'm reeling from this one. I don't take any fantasy matchup for granted, no matter what the projections say the spread is, because it's all random chance how the football games play out. But if there was ever a week you would think you didn't need to worry it would have been this one. Half of JC's star players were out with injuries and I had several guys that were absolutely rolling. The projection was a roughly 20 point victory; ended up losing roughly 20 - that's a forty point swing!
But there are losses that happen because you make the wrong choices with your lineup, and there are losses where you do everything right but the games just don't go your way. This was the latter. I had a really solid lineup on paper, in fact this was probably the lineup I've been most confident in so far this season. But the games simply happened to flow in the exact opposite direction of my players' strengths. The teams of my receivers got out to leads early and so weren't really throwing the ball. Super frustrating, but it is what it is.
Major credit to JC for recovering from losing so many big names and managing to still piece a strong roster together.

Does the Special Teams scoring consider yardage at all? Meaning do they get any points for good long returns, or does it only matter if they go all the way back and score?

Only matters if they score.

That is incredibly stupid. :|
A 99 yard kick return is just as impressive/unlikely as one that goes the extra few inches into the endzone, it should be rewarded as such.

It doesn't put 6 points on the board. :shrugs: Same for fumbles/interceptions. Yardage isn't a factor.

Actually it's a gamechanging factor. If they get five yards on a return that doesn't do anything. If they bring the ball all the way to the one the offene is getting at least three points in the next four plays. It's not quite as big as if they scored themselves, so it shouldn't count for as much, but it is extremely significant to the game so it should count for something.

But then, this is the system that counts a pick six as a negative on the defense, who isn't even on the field, so I didn't expect that level of logic to be used. >_>

Laura, I hate to tell you this so soon after your wedding, but you and I tied this week. The final score was 73-73. Since the tiebreaker for our league is most bench points, I was victorious. \:D/

It's especially remarkable because one of my wins from earlier this year was 73-72. So close. If I somehow make the playoffs this year... ;)

You got unbelievably lucky on that one; you should not have had a chance! Eugene had Eli Manning in his six touchdown game! Should have been untouchable, but he didn't sub out one player on bye, difference ended up being a single point.

Both bookworm and I can clinch playoff spots this week with wins due to CC playing SK.

Technically I think I should get it outright because I had more bench points. \:D/

Playoff breakdown time.

bookworm's team and The Texas Staleys have clinched playoff spots. This coming game will most likely decide the No. 1 seed as bookworm will have swept me if he wins. Whereas the series will be tied but I have more overall points if I win.

Laura has to win out to have a shot, albeit slim at the playoffs.

Whereas Constinople has the inside track at that 4th seed. Definitely going to be madness over next few weeks as it will most come down to tiebreakers to determine that last spot unless CC wins outright.

I think I need to win out and have CON lose out for me to have a playoff shot.

Quick note on our playoff tie breaker setup:
If Head-to-Head Record is selected [which ours is], Total Points For, Intra Division Record (if your league has multiple divisions), and Total Points Against will be used as further tie breakers (in that order).

... a coin flip will resolve any teams that are tied after all other tiebreakers are used. Note that the League Manager can override any automatically generated playoff matchups, if desired, using LM Tools.
So I will be exercising that authoring if the American Eagles are snubbed. \:D/

This one was scary for a while; Rodgers threw his first home interception in three years, and he actually threw two! But the whole lineup came threw with solid performances to hold steady.
