Nuts About Treats

Today I saw what I thought were pieces of cashews on my bed. When I stuck them in my mouth I realized they were dog treats. I spat them out in short order and gave them to my dog. She definitely appreciated them more than I did. Not terrible, just bland more than anything.

Ewwww! There would be shrieking if that was me.

Well, I would be yelling about multiple things if there were dog treats in my bed.

I've eaten dog food on more than one occasion. It's not /that/ bad.

I don't see why a reaction to a type of food would automatically be "ew" just because it's normally served to a different animal than you are...

Note to self: do NOT accept any kind of snack from DanP740.

Never ever ever. Especially if he assures you that this type of food is a normal kind that is regularly served in many households.
I guess the level of grossness would depend on what kind of dog treats were involved and whether the dog had consumed part of the item(s) already or not, but I'm one of those people who tries to keep most kinds of food from touching on her plate (much to the amusement of certain relatives during holiday dinners as they ladle creamed corn on top of their mashed potatoes with their Jell-O salad touching the side of the pile) so the thought of eating something not intended for human consumption really does not appeal to me.

Well, in my case, I'm talking about taking a fresh dog treat, one that hasn't been drooled on. Some of them taste pretty bland and gritty, but occasionally you'll find one that's not horrid-tasting at all.
