very cute and quirky

to be honest. i was expecting something else, namely a cake that looks like a raw turkey except when sliced to reveal the interior

I was hoping for a cake made out of turkey.

That's an awesome cake, bookworm. A coworker of mine also made a turkey cake for the day before Thanksgiving. She brought it to work and offered the all of the employees a slice. I didn't get a chance to try it, but by the end of the day, it completely was gone. So, it was probably very good.

That picture did not live up to my expectations

We didn’t make it, my mom saw it at a store for cheap and couldn’t resist.
However, this is homemade. (Not by me though, a friend gave it to me.)

At first I was like, "Why is this thread being bumped all of a sudden??" and then I remembered Americans: they are super slow getting the ball rolling on their Thanksgiving festivities.

I was totally expecting something else when I clicked on this.

But that's a really cute cake!

Somehow I have not posted on this thread previously! The title definitely led me to expect something much grosser. No turkey cake around these here parts....
