Great series or not? I've been through 3 1/4 of the books but so far a great series

It's a great series.
A good alagorical (sp) series.
I actually got to talk with the Author's children about the series, and it was really cool to hear their perspective.
They said he would read them a new chapter every night, before they went to bed, as he was writing the books.
