Ooh, I agree with all of these except Falling Up (Which I haven't heard) All of these are great bands to try out Kait.
I've been getting into their albums "Fangs!" and "Your Sparkling Death Cometh" lately. I love their abstract, poetic style.
Totally. Falling Up for sure.

If you like metal then listen to 'Hands' or 'Becoming the Archetype'. O:)

AND I NOW HAVE MY iTUNES.

Abandon- anything. This is my absolute favorite CCM band ever.
The Almost- "Hands", "Summer Summer", "Monster" (all songs. There is a Monster Monster song, but just the Monster one.)
Anberlin- "A Whisper & A Clamor"
As Cities Burn- "Empire", "The Hoard
Decyfer Down- "Best I Can", "No Longer"
The Devil Wears Prada, "Louder Than Thunder" (this song is completely quiet, contrary to the name of it or the band)
Disciple- "Dear X (You Don't Own Me)", "Remake",
Ed Kowalczyk- "Grace"
Falling Up!- "Hotel Aquarium", "Good Morning Planetarium", "Streams of Woe at Acheron"
Haste the Day- "White As Snow"
Love Like Gravity- "Adrenaline"
My Epic- "Pour"
One Minute Halo- "Rescue"
Sent By Ravens, Mean What You Say, Our Graceful Words
Ember- Ember EP
SONS- "Doubt", "Caution", "Manipulate"
Superchick- "Still Here"

So I bolded the ones you should really look up, and the ones in italics are CDs. ^_^

With all due respect...

O:)
Fine. Be that way, you wretched person. :noway:

I would apologize, but I don't regret what I said :anxious:

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Disciple \:D/ If you're looking for some female singers, I would recommend Britt Nicole, Francesca Battistelli, BarlowGirl, Jaci Velasquez, and Rachel Lampa. Jamie Grace is okay, but I don't really enjoy her songs. Addison Road is definitely worth a shot ;)

....aaaand my mind went blank :p I'll probably think of some more later.

Wow you people are crazy with all this CCM stuff. :anxious:

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I will start looking stuff up and building a playlist of stuff I like! \:D/

If you had asked for film scores....yes, then you would think that I was crazy \:D/ Most of my friends already do.

CCM isn't even particularly one of my favorite genres :p

If you are still looking for stuff, I like some of Starfield's stuff (except their latest album is made of terrible). Particular songs, "My Generation," "Rediscover You," "Shipwreck," "Cry in my Heart," "Son of God." They have some pretty good stuff (in my opinion), whether you were looking for something up-beat or a bit slower they have both. They are also fantastic when live!

A lot of the bands Termite mentioned aren't really CCM per se, but more Christian rock and a few of them were indie rock.

CCM is more pop/rock, worship, acoustic, and easy listening stuff, imo. And most of it is terrible.

I guess when I think "contemporary Christian music" I think "all music that is contemporary (meaning recent) and Christian" :P

The stuff I listened is light rock, however, without any screams... I don't think. Maybe like, one or two throughout the entire list. But they're good songs. \:D/

And I dislike Battitestiwhatchamicallits voice :anxious:

I also recommend Group 1 Crew. A lot of their songs are spacy :p

No one has mentioned Tenth Avenue North? :thud:

Not all their songs fit exactly with your specifications, Kait, but you might give some of their songs a try, such as "By Your Side", "Hold My Heart", and "You Are More". "Times" and "Oh My Dear" are a little bit slower, but they're good, too. \:D/

I don't know what 'her' you are talking about :anxious:

anyway, I echo the suggestions of Relient K, Dc talk, Tenth Avenue North. I would also recommend Kutless (What Faith Can Do and Word of God Speak are good ones).

You could also try some RED songs. They tend to lean toward heavier rock, but some of their stuff is mellow. "Lost," "Pieces," and "Not Alone" are fabulous, although I like the heavy stuff lol.
