Pandora

I can't believe this!

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Pandora

Post by Lee »

I can't believe it. I've been using the internet ever since I was like 9, and I just today discovered Pandora's internet radio service. \:D/ If you haven't used it yet, go there now. RIGHT NOW. :x

And I'm sure one of you will pipe up and say something like:

Shouldn't this go in the Harlequin?

I first learned of Pandora in the early 1980s.

*cough* I've never actually used it, but it sounds pretty handy when one is in need of new bands to which one can listen. ;)

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

We believe that you are in Canada. If you believe we have made a mistake, we apologize and ask that you please email us.

If you have been using Pandora, we will keep a record of your existing stations and bookmarked artists and songs, so that when we are able to launch in your country, they will be waiting for you.

We will be notifying listeners as licensing agreements are established in individual countries. If you would like to be notified by email when Pandora is available in your country, please enter your email address below. The pace of global licensing is hard to predict, but we have the ultimate goal of being able to offer our service everywhere.
I guess Canadians are being left out once again.

It's okay because I like to use AccuRadio. They have a lot of music too and you can block artists or songs and mix genre's too so it's decent.

I love Pandora too. We don't do the Film Scores station, but I've put on a misc Harry Potter movie station and gotten LOTR, Pirates, Star Wars, Narnia, *insert other epic movie titles* along with it, so basically the same. My go to station that few other people here would like is Classic Indie Radio. Because in art, "classic" means old. And I'm old. \:D/

I love Pandora! :inlove: Why have I not heard of this until now!?

That's sad you can't get it in Canada, but at least you have alternatives.

Hey other Canadians, http://music.cbc.ca/ is probably the closest thing to a Canadian version.

The Pandorica will open, silence will fall.

Edit: P.S. it-tunes has a lot of radio stations
