I bent under the strong influence....

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")

I bent under the strong influence....

I found myself at the library yesterday, asking the lady if they had The Hunger Games. I put the first one on hold. :anxious:

Ya, I'm a bit confused as to how this suddenly popped up. I guess it's because the movie's coming out soon. But really, there are so many other series out there that are really good and clean and stuff. I mean, the books aren't like THE BEST THING EVER CREATED or anything like that. :P

This. My prediction is give the ToO a couple months after the movie and it'll fade fast. ;)

And Lee, you shouldn't bend under strong things, it's bad for your back. :(

True.

After all the hype about the books, I probably will read it and not even be impressed.

If its half as good as Angela Hunt's books I'll be happy. ;)

Lee, let me encourage you to proceed with caution. I know your beliefs, and the hunger games can be fairly... for lack of a better word, raunchy. Katniss and Peeta have a fairly... sexual relationship.

I must've missed the part where Katniss and Peeta had a sexual relationship... :anxious: However, I agree with Mark that the books should be read with caution.

The Hunger Games train will not stop until the end of March. \:D/ At that point, it will either implode or explode further.

knowing how good the books are, and that there are 3 more movies after the first on the way, I suspect it will explode further. \:D/
