I love that song, but my itouch won't let me watch it.
I like There is a Higher Throne. I'll post the link later.

I don't know if it's my very favorite one, but here's Five Iron Frenzy's "A Flowery Song" Official Music Video.
And David Crowder*Band's version of the most mocked (for a good reason) song in CCM history.

Ooh, I LOVE that one, Amy! I have it on my ipod. Adam Young has done a great job of being a good Christian role model. He seems like an awesome guy.
Sorry, but no.Amethystic wrote:

If you guys like Owl City, check out An Epic, No Less. You can download their album for free legally on noistrade if you like them.

I like Owl City better. That guy's voice is too over-done.
Where did you get the file? It's not on iTunes. (And yes, Adam Young is amazing. ^_^ If you look in the small print of his CD covers, you can see he gives tribute to Jesus Christ for his ability. And he posts scripture verses on Twitter sometimes.)Trixie Belden wrote:Ooh, I LOVE that one, Amy! I have it on my ipod. Adam Young has done a great job of being a good Christian role model. I don't know, it just sounds like he's trying too hard. Like it's forced, or something. That's the only way I can describe it.ric wrote:Hmmm, what do you mean by that?Amethystic wrote:I like Owl City better. That guy's voice is too over-done.)
Hmmm, interesting. Ya, I can kinda see that, but that's just how is voice sounds. I think.Amethystic wrote:I don't know, it just sounds like he's trying too hard. Like it's forced, or something. But anyway, I like An Epic, No Less better because their lyrics are explicitly Christian, even worshipful.

Like I said, his voice is not my cup of tea. And even though most of Owl City's lyrics aren't openly worshipful, he's still a very Christian individual. And his music rocks.

Hmm, I forget where I got it. Check on Amazon; they might have it. I think I might have done a search for "Owl City In Christ Alone mp3" on Google.Amethystic wrote:I like Owl City better. That guy's voice is too over-done.

WATCH THESE. I hope you like it as much as I do!
Unfortuanately, none of these have the words, which are absolutely beautiful:
There is a higher throne
Than all this world has known,
Where faithful ones from ev'ry tongue
Will one day come.
Before the Son we'll stand,
Made faultless through the Lamb;
Believing hearts find promised grace—
Salvation comes.
Hear heaven's voices sing;
Their thund'rous anthem rings
Through em'rald courts and sapphire skies.
Their praises rise.
All glory, wisdom, pow'r,
Strength, thanks, and honor are
To God our King, who reigns on high
Forevermore.
And there we'll find our home,
Our life before the throne;
We'll honor Him in perfect song
Where we belong.
He'll wipe each tear-stained eye
As thirst and hunger die.
The Lamb becomes our Shepherd King;
We'll reign with Him.
I wish I could get the second one on itunes...

Can't disagree there. The autotune bugs me though.Amethystic wrote:Like I said, his voice is not my cup of tea. And even though most of Owl City's lyrics aren't openly worshipful, he's still a very Christian individual. And his music rocks.

Well, to each their own.

Except here:
For some reason I don't mind it in that song.
edit: Just to keep on topic, ^ that's probably one of my favorite Christian songs on youtube.

Did anyone watch mine?
And AE, I don't really care for the voice... but it's a really nice song. I do think our music tastes are extremely similar.

I watched yours; it was alright, but I guess I look for something a bit... stronger when it comes to acoustic. Like, a hymn like that I'd probably liked better if it were slightly vamped up (for lack of a better word), so that it has a stronger presence. And a strong singer helps; it gives the song substance.
EDIT: Here's another song I really like--slow and beautiful but loud and powerful at the same time:
