There are always more good mod possibilities than there are mod spots! Snubs and TKD were trying to include more newer mods. The only term that I have not had any power (either as a mod or an admin) here on the ToO was the one right before I became the permanent admin - sometimes life just works in funny ways.

So, if I may ask... Why didn't you guys use Laura as a mod in the first place? Since she's so experienced and everything...

It's pretty much what bookworm said, we didn't have enough positions to include all the people who would make good mods.

They probably didn’t have enough positions.
(Or they knew this was going to happen in advance. )

(If we would have know in advance, several things would have been done differently in the election stage. )
