Books Discussion

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")

This is a wonderful book. If any of you can get ahold of a copy of either book, let me know. I own them so it doesn't matter how long it takes for you to get either. If you plan on getting either book, please sign up below. We can read a section or two a week. There are 19 sections. Enjoy reading and I look forward to discussing it with you! :read:

It's by a former Worship Leader. He knows what he's saying.

What denomination? All I know is my church believes we can have a whole rock band on stage and it's fine.

Baptist. You should give the book a chance. He has very good arguments.

Please at least read it! You're allowed to disagree. I said we'd discuss it! :D

I have read the book, iluvsns, and it is currently sitting about 10 feet away from me. ;) It is a very good book, indeed!

Well, it's been a long time since I last read it. From what I remember, the author gives a great case for not listening to most of modern-day music. As you said, he is a former rock worship leader, so that gives him a bit of credibility in my opinion. I do recommend this book to anyone, really - CCM-listeners or not.

Hmmm, I'd certainly like to read it. I'm very interested in seeing how someone would prove that I'm sinning by praising God. :-

If I can find it. They don't have it at my local library, and I probably won't buy it. So...we'll see if they have it at my church library.

Look up "Can We Rock the Gospel?" If enough people can find that, I'll be fine with it. :D
