Sixties-Something error?

Although I've heard it..a dozen times or more, I just noticed that Bart call's The Electric Palace The Electric Castle.
Was it an error or did he call it that at other times before they settled into TEP?

Bart had just renamed his store temporarily because of the sixties bash.

...but what would be the point of renaming it Castle over Palace due to the 60's?

Because he's selling guitars and amplifiers so he renamed the store Rathbone's Electric Castle and Rock n' Roll Instruments of Destruction. That Bart, he's good with names.

I was always pretty sure that it was a mistake, because it was the first episode after if was built, and all throughout the episode it's referred to as The Electric Castle.

LM, the reason it's reffered to as the electric castle is because, as Steve said it is a shortened version of The Rathbone's Electric Castle and Rock n' Roll Instruments of Destruction. He renamed it.

Nope. Bart just renamed his shop the Elecric Castle etc... as an avertising rampage he was currently on...and still isn't off of.

Maybe cause "castle" sounds old and rugged, more like classic rock 'n roll would be..."palace" has a more refined sound.

It could just be a goof on the writer's part or it could be some obscure 60's reference.
