Most Popular Pet?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Vote for the pets you currently have or have had previously. \:D/

Then discuss the awesomeness of your pets, and maybe give us a description or even a picture!

The dog is getting old so he mainly sleeps lately :(

I voted for dogs. My family currently doesn't have any pets (except some goldfish that will never die ;)), but if we did, I'd want a golden retriever puppy.

I know it's like the most-loved dog, but rightfully so! :inlove:

Fish! That's what I forgot to add. As you can tell, my family has never had any fish. ;)

Dogs are the bestest pets ever. :inlove: I have one dog, Pepper, but she's getting old. :( She'll be 12 in November, and she sleeps a lot and is getting pretty deaf. It's quite funny actually...she'll be snoring away, and I can pet her, pull on her paws, talk in a loud voice, and she WILL NOT wake up. \:D/ Poor dog.

A golden retroiver, AE? ;)

I have a dog (have had 5 before) used to have a cat (two actually) had tadpoles (all died), kept some fish (died too) had a chicken (had to let it go), and now currently have a dog and will have puppies by Halloween! \:D/

And no, my dogs will not be Halloween puppies. :x

 We used to own a dog named Pepper. She died when she was 13. In her last few years of life all she ever did was sleep. Sometimes she moved but very rarely. Except during the peroid when we owned rabbits.

We did too. I'm not sure, but I think our Pepper was a black lab or something.

Our Pepper was part Australian shepherd and part mutt. :shrugs: Not sure what all she was. She died over 3 years ago. She had a long thin tail that my cousins used to call a "rat tail"

My parents used to have a dog named Pepper as well, whom I eventually met but by then my grandparents had him. \:D/

Anyway, I have had two awesome dogs... Snuffy was a black lab we got when I was like 3. She was a really well-behaved dog and lived to, I dunno, late middle age for a dog of her breed? She was nine when she died of cancer. :mecry:

Then six months later we got Mandy the Wonderdog, the greatest dog ever in human history! \:D/ She was mostly yellow lab but definitely had "mix" of some kind in their because her fur and tail were fluffier than labs are supposed to be, and she was basically weird and crazy and always doing amusing things. \:D/ She obviously slowed down as she aged and spent more time sleeping, as dogs are apt to do, but she always would throw in some odd behavior to keep me amused. BUT ALAS, on February 13th, 2008, she slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God, at the at least somewhat old age of 13. :mecry: She was there through the awkwardness of junior high, the good times of high school, the more good times but still character building time of college, and finally through my dating, engagement, and almost a year into my marriage to my lovely wife...

I'm on my work computer so I don't have pictures. :(
